AWAKENINGS

This easter wasn't a regular easter. Awakenings is a festival that is also very known in Ghent. When Dolo and I heard that there was an easter special Awakenings, we were determined to go. We asked our friend Loes to join us.

On Sunday we first went brunching at Grand cafe Lokaal that is just around the corner where we live. It was an all you can eat buffet for only 12,5 euros so we ate untill we were pregnant of a foodbaby. When we digested everything, we went back to our app to get ready with some cava. Yes, cava at 12.30 AM, being real fancy nancy's.

Around 2 PM we arrived at Gashouder where Awakenings took place. The Gashouder was built in 1902 and was the largest gas container in Europe at that time. The building has an area of 2500 square meters and a free height of 15 meters. The round interior, the industrial character and the lived-in interior gave this party on itself already an extra dimension.

We heard Black Coffee, Monika Kruse, Sven Väth, Dubfire, Ilario Alicante and Sam Paganini.

That night our iPhone calculated that we took 27 000 steps that day, just from dancing. We cracray.
