On Saturday, my grandparents and my aunt, uncle and nephew came to visit me here in Amsterdam. My grandparents also visited me when I was on Erasmus in Porto, so I was really enthusiastic to show them around in my new city, Amsterdam. Within my family I'm known as the girl who is always somewhere but home. A woman of the world, I'd call myself hehe.
WHATTT
So after walking and walking and going inside some boutiques and again walking, we were starting to get hungry. I took them to the hotel and restaurant Morgan & Mees. They have a lovely terrace where we could sit outside while having the sun on our faces. Getting food in our belly while having a tan, perfect! The interior matches the characteristics of the monumental building, but with a modern twist, an elegant timeless look and an eye for detail.

THE FOODDD
I was very hard to make a decision like always. So what I actually always do when I'm doubting, is asking the waiter/ waitress what he/ she would choose. In that way, I know for sure that I made a good choice.
I was recommended to choose the Veal croquettes on sourdough with mustard, my aunt chose the same. My grandmother and grandfather opted for the Croque monsieur which was served with bechamel on top. My uncle chose the Ramen because he never ate that before. This ramen was made with main porkbelly, kimchi, soft boiled egg, noodles, bean sprouts and shii-take. My nephew, who is 10 years younger than me but a head bigger than me, took the M&M beefburger which was served with Gasconne beef, pickles, tomato, bacon, onion, cheese and fries.
M&M is the perfect spot, just a little bit outside of the city center, for a lunch on a sunny day.
