Stek is just around the corner so we rolled out our bed and went straight to this brunchspot. CUZ YOU KNOW, SUNDAY IS BRUNCHDAY.

WHATTT

Stek is the spot for breakfast, lunch and a 'borrel.' It's located in de Wibautstraat. You'd think it isn't the most cosy street of Amsterdam between all the buildings. But that's just the thing, it has its charms.

THE FOODDD

The girls and I chose for croque madame's so basically a toast with ham, cheese and on top an egg. One friend chose for scrambled eggs with advocado and bacon. As a 'dessert' we decided to share the french toast with pear compote, mascarpone, nuts and honey. And ow yeah, it was delish!

Besides the all-day-breakfast-menu they also offer lunch such as STEK tartare, STEK burger, french fries with truffle mayonnaise ...

A nice little fact: Everything they offer is home made, even the cookies you get with your coffee. Stek tries to work with local entrepreneurs. Their wines are from the Wijnboer, the croissants from the Bakhuys, cheese is from Erik's Delicatessen.

THE INTERIOR

The interior of Stek is industrial. When you're brunching at Stek it almost feels like home. They use old tables and chairs, carpets, pillows to make you forget you are sitting in a restaurant. I'm a big fan of this!
