WHATTT

On Sunday it was a real sun-day. I wanted to brunch somewhere close to home and where my boyfriend and I could sit outside. I found Dignita, a brunch place that was in a park. It reminded me of Pain Perdu at the Bijloke in Ghent. Also at a busy street but then when you enter the park, you immediately forget that and you think you are in a forest far far away from everyone. BUTTTT… Then we saw the queue of people who were waiting for a table. At first, we had big hopes but then the hostess came to us to write our names down and told us that it would be 30-40 minutes when it was our turn. A big sigh but okay no problem, we really wanted to eat there so we waited and chilled in the park. We did almost faint as we didn’t eat in the morning but after 40 minutes, there was literally light in the dark and there was a table for us in the sun.

as you can see on the picture, the Joolz strollers follow me everywhere

THE FOODDD

We got a free bottle of water right away. I love this concept, they should do it everywhere! Of course we ordered something else as water too. Maybe you can already guess it, I ordered a Big Tom spicy tomato juice and Fabian ordered an iced Americano.

My boyfriend and I are really the types of we-want-to-taste-everything-guys so we decided to take three different dishes that we could share. We took the Benny boy, a dish with two free range poached eggs served on a crispy potato hash with crispy streaky bacon, apple cider hollandaise and micro greens. This was ma FAVVV! For the second dish we choose the Buffalo ricotta & sundried tomato bruschetta. The bread was homemade, chargrilled and spread with sundried tomato pesto rosso, buffalo ricotta and mozzarella, herby roasted plum tomatoes, olive oil and fresh oregano and to finish a slice of San Daniel ham. (For the ham we had to pay two euros extra, FYI not worth it.) And as our eyes are always bigger than our stomach, we took the ham and cheese croissant. You can’t do anything wrong with this and it’s always nice to finish your meal with this.
