As you may noticed, my boyfriend visits me every two weekends. So every Saturday there is a market in the Albert Cuypstreet, namely the Albert Cuypmarket. It's one of the Netherlands' most popular markets, the perfect reason to check this place out. The market is situated in the centre of the 19th century quarter De Pijp also known as the Quartier Latin of Amsterdam.

The street is filled with stalls of clothing, food, souvenirs, accessories, flowers, beauty products and actually almost everything where you can think of. It’s a nice hustle and bustle to wander in around. Sometimes a bit marginal but then you can just turn around a corner, escape the market and go drink something in one of the many hipster bars that De Pijp has. But be prepared, when the sun is out, everybody in Amsterdam is also out.
